Description

THUNDERMUG‘s ORBIT album was recorded at Manta Sound in Toronto and produced by Greg Hambleton; engineered and mixed in late 1972 by Dave Greene. It was somewhat of a concept/themed album with songs about alienation, childhood struggles and the band’s difficult road to acceptance by a broader public. ORBIT has gained fans over time and stands out as one of the most respected works of the 70s rock era. Included is their alternate version of “The Investigator” and Bill Durst‘s outstanding baroque-inspired “Victoria Muse“. Once billed as ‘the heaviest band in the world’, London, Ontario’s THUNDERMUG features Joe DeAngelis on vocals, Bill Durst on guitar and vocals, Ed Pranskus on drums and Jim Corbett on bass. Writing very unusual songs with the most intense driving beat, they toured Canada and the States during the 70’s.
